A vocabulary-building app that doesn’t feel like homework? Yes, please.
Bayard asked my team and I to turn their beloved “I Love English Mini” magazine into something kids could tap, swipe, and interact with – without losing the charm of the print edition.
The result? A fully illustrated, story-driven app designed to make English learning intuitive and fun for French-speaking kids (ages 5-8). Released alongside a quarterly printed version, the app brings new energy to each monthly theme through games, characters, and dynamic storytelling.
I led the visual development and art direction from the ground up, shaping every screen, character, and animation.

Vocabulary is at the heart of this app
I created a whole visual dictionary – over 100 illustrated word cards sorted into playful themes like animals, food, and home. Because kids deserve better than beige.

A playground of progress
The app’s world is built for curiosity. I created a playful map with chunky icons and cheerful buildings, making it easy for kids to find their way – and feel proud as they unlock rewards along the way.

Bringing the Brand to Life
To support the launch, I created App Store assets that brought the brand full-circle from icon to previews. The goal: build visibility, inspire confidence, and make a bold entrance in a busy educational space.

The App in Motion
Static screens are just the beginning. Here’s how it all moves, interacts, and flows because great design should feel as good as it looks.
